The demand for active and effective management of heat transfer is increasing in various modern application scenarios. thermal conductivity materials plays a key role systems, reversibly tunable properties are one the fundamental needs materials. Thermal smart materials, whose can be tuned with an external trigger, have attracted attention researchers. In this paper, we provide brief review current research advances recent years terms physical mechanisms, switching ratios, their value. We focus on typical such as nanoparticle suspensions, phase change polymers, layered by electrochemistry other specific field. After surveying present applications components devices temperature control, circuits, phonon computers, metamaterials, so on. Finally, discuss limitations challenges well our predictions future development.

Thermal conductivity analysis and applications of nanocellulose materials
In this review, we summarize the recent progress in thermal conductivity analysis of nanocellulose materials called cellulose nanopapers, and compare them with polymeric materials, including neat polymers, composites, and traditional paper. It is important to individually measure the in-plane and through-plane heat-conducting properties of two-dimensional planar materials, so steady-state and n...
متن کاملEffective thermal conductivity in thermoelectric materials
Thermoelectric generators (TEGs) are solid state heat engines that generate electricity from a temperature gradient. Optimizing these devices for maximum power production can be difficult due to the many heat transport mechanisms occurring simultaneously within the TEG. In this paper, we develop a model for heat transport in thermoelectric materials in which an " effective thermal conductivity ...

This paper presents the bidirectional evolutionary structural optimization (BESO) method for the design of two-phase composite materials with optimal properties of stiffness and thermal conductivity. The composite material is modelled by microstructures in a periodical base cell (PBC). The homogenization method is used to derive the effective bulk modulus and thermal conductivity. BESO procedur...
متن کاملHigh Frequency Circuit Materials With Increased Thermal Conductivity
Thermal management has always been a major concern in the design of high frequency, high power electronic devices. Historically, in most power amplifier designs, the vast majority of the power dissipated is from the high power field effect transistors (FET) themselves. In these cases, the high power dissipation requires direct attachment of the FETs to a finned heat sink, or conduction through ...
متن کاملThermoelectric materials by using two-dimensional materials with negative correlation between electrical and thermal conductivity
In general, in thermoelectric materials the electrical conductivity σ and thermal conductivity κ are related and thus cannot be controlled independently. Previously, to maximize the thermoelectric figure of merit in state-of-the-art materials, differences in relative scaling between σ and κ as dimensions are reduced to approach the nanoscale were utilized. Here we present an approach to thermoe...
